A half-day working session for people who have graded a film and felt the result was somehow flatter than the rushes.

We start with a real scene, ungraded, and build it up together. Balance first, then contrast, then colour. We spend most of the time on the shot that resists, because that is where grading is actually learned.

You will leave understanding why a look that sings on a calibrated monitor collapses on a phone, and what to do about it before delivery rather than after.

Bring a laptop and a scene you are unhappy with. Places are limited to twelve.
