1. Agreement to terms
By engaging production house lebanon ("we", "us", "the studio") or using this website, you ("the client") agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with an engagement.
2. Services
We provide film and video production services including concept development, scripting, casting, location scouting, principal photography, animation, editing, colour grading, sound design and final delivery. The exact scope of any engagement is defined in the accepted proposal.
3. Quotations and scope
Quotations are based on the treatment, shot list and deliverables agreed at the time of quoting. Changes to scope after a quotation is accepted, including additional shoot days, cast, locations, deliverable formats or revision rounds, are quoted separately and require written approval before work continues.
4. Payment
Unless the proposal states otherwise, an advance is payable before pre-production begins and the balance is due on delivery of the final film. Invoices are payable within thirty days. We may suspend work on overdue accounts.
5. Footage, rushes and archive
We retain the original rushes for a minimum of twelve months after final delivery. Delivery of raw footage is not included by default and may be requested at additional cost. After the archive period we may delete material without further notice.
6. Intellectual property and usage rights
Full usage rights to the delivered film transfer to the client on receipt of final payment, for the media, territories and duration set out in the proposal. Until final payment, all material remains our property. We retain the right to display delivered work in our portfolio and showreel unless the proposal records a written embargo.
7. Talent, locations and permits
Where we engage talent, music or stock material on your behalf, usage is limited to the licence terms negotiated for that engagement. Extending usage beyond those terms requires a new licence. The client is responsible for the accuracy of any product claims, trademarks or supplied material used in the film.
8. Cancellation and postponement
Cancellation after crew, cast, kit or locations are booked incurs the committed third-party costs plus fees for work already performed. Postponement within seven days of a shoot date is treated as a cancellation of that date.
9. Liability
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost business opportunity. Our total liability for any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, and the courts of Beirut have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
